When setting a tub do you install the drain and overflow assembly on the tub first and then try to connect it to the trap or do you install the drain and overflow assembly and trap together and set the tub on top of it.............or does it matter.
Just seems like fitting that last piece of pipe between the drain and overflow assembly and the trap might be difficult. Also how do you check the drain for leaks before setting the tub......just pour water down the trap?

Hi I'm not a plumber but have installed a shower. I would connect whatever is easiest to access. I had a flexi pipe on the shower and this made connection easier. I connected all up underneath first and then installed the trap last. Just run water down through for a few minutes to check for leaks
