back deck roof question

i had to get a new house, the old one burned. so on the new house i put a 8x15' and i put a metal roof over it for shade, i use to have a screen type tarp. anyway the temp gage setting just outside of my dining window is always abput 10 deg warmer than my lacross weather station temp gage. so i'm wondering if the tin roof is actually throwing the heat down into the deck area. i can feel it when i go out the back door.

if this sounds like what a tin roof does can i put some vents like on roofs or even some wind powered turbines vents to help draw that heat back out thru the roof?

Sounds to me like a perfect place for radiant barrier insulation... foil‑faced reflective insulation. These products are designed to block 95–99% of radiant heat, which is the main type of heat transfer from a tin roof.

thanks i my wind up doing that next spring. you would not think it would be warmer under that open space. with the breezes moving the air all around.
