Just starting on my DIY journey (just bought my first flat), currently as handy as a digital clock. I have an outdoor/partially under cover balcony that has a wooden floor - it's tired and old, dont want to rip it out, would prefer to try and improve the look. Can anyone tell me what type of wood this is and what the best way of going about improving the look i.e. sand it back and put a coat of decking oil on it?
