Hi all. I'm looking for some advice about boxing in this gas pipe in my kitchen. (Painted blue in the photos.) The previous owner left it like this and I'm sick of the sight of it.

I'm only boxing in from the ceiling to as far down as the oven below, and will leave the bottom open for ventilation. (Also the gas pipe is not in use, we have an electric oven.)

I'm after advice about how you'd do it. It's on a slant, so I would remove the current plastic fixings and add new ones.

I'm wondering if it would be best to box in at a diagonal, from next to the plastic trunking across to the cupboard. I think this could look better but be a bugger to fit - I'm not even sure how I'd manage it.

Thanks in advance
