I have a delta touch faucet that uses 6 AA batteries in series producing 9 volts and 2850mAh, if I calculated that correctly. I want to replace the batteries with an AC power adapter so to avoid constantly changing batteries .

Will I be safe to use a simple ac adapter like this one on Ebay?:

This adapter produces 9v and 3000mA, slightly more than 2850.

The manufacturer wants $41 plus shipping for their proprietary adapter part number EP73954.
