Hi guys.
I have recently inherited a toilet in our new home, and the pan is against the rear wall, so I can't get to the fittings.
Anyway the plastic seat has come away from the fittings on it.
Afraid I haven't come across these b/4. please see attachments.
Can anyone help me source the fittings from somewhere, or advisde me, if there's a better way maybe please?
Many thanks

Bob

Have you tried contacting Ideal?

If no luck there. Buy a new seat. They aren't expensive and you can get soft-close ones that will have fixings that can be adjusted regardless of how wide apart are the holes.

No I didn't stupidly.
I'll try tomorrow, thanks.
I did see on a youtube vid that there is a seat that can be lifted off the fittings that are fitted to the pan .
the fittings were similar to the crocodile fitting that are used on cavity walls. If you know what I mean?
Do you think these would be a good idea with a new seat perhaps?

I'd stick to trying to get the right fittings from Ideal if the seat is still usable.
It might help if you send them a photo as they will have many different designs of toilet seats.

I'm pretty sure Ideal will be able to help you.

You won't need a new toilet, if they can't just a new seat.
If not one from Ideal, one of your choice. They make them that have fixings which are adjustable. The attaching pins are offset in circular fixings so it will fit any pair of holes regardless of how far they are apart by rotating the fixing. As long as you can find one that's that sort of shape.

just measured the width between the holes in the pan
53/4" n(14.5 cm) apart.
Is there a seat with those dimensions, I can't see one on line?

See my post #7. Some toilet seats have adjustable pins. The pin is offset in a round boss, turning the boss moves the pins closer together or further away.

Thanks again @Doghouse Riley

I don't think they adjust to the dimensions I need unfortunately.
