Hi I have a Briggs & Stratton powered sit 'n' ride manufactured by 'GGP'. It is 4 years old now & has been faultless despite working hard for it's living........
Yesterday, I stopped the blades in order to empty the collection box. Then went to continue. On pulling the switch to activate the cutters, nothing happened.
I have had a look today & have found that two wires on top of the bell housing/pulley arrangement for the blt that drived the blades have sheared. They clearly got caught up in the belt or pulley...
I have taken pics, but cannot post any till I have 10 posts

I am happy that I can fix this (rather than pay 44€ per hour labour).
I just cannot get my head around what stops these wires from getting caught? They connect to two small plugs ontop of the bell housing & they spin with the housing once the blades engage?
I hope this makes sense? If anyone has a sit n ride with similar set up a pic of the wiring would be of great assistance.
Thanks
