Hi every one I have a few questions, I'm running 100amp service to my pole barn, I'm goin to run it off of my 200 amp service from the house. The sub panel is roughly 225 feet from the 200amp panel In my basement, what size wire would I need and how many wires allready have a 2inch conduit running from the house to the shop thanks

To know what size wires I need to know how much amperage you will require at the pole barn.

The number of wires is the easy part. You need four wires, two "Hots" one Neutral and one equipment grounding conductor.

At the pole barn, you will need to install a grounding system (one or two ground rods) and connect them to the panelboard at the barn.

The Neutral from the supply CAN NOT be connected to the panelboard equipment grounding conductor.

For grins and chuckles let say you want all 100 amps for use in the pole barn:
Copper: #1 AWG conductors will get you 100 amp with a 2.8% voltage drop.
Aluminum: #250 conductors will get you 100 amp wit a 1,9% voltage drop.

Conduit fill: You should be fine with either size wires in the 2" conduit.
