My house is on a slab and ive been insulating the slab edge with 2 inch XPS. The house has a 12x12ft room that I found to only have a slab and no footer. I think this was built on as a porch and later converted to a room. It bumps out from the rest of the house with 3 exterior walls. This room has always struggled to stay warm (or cool) compared to the rest of the house. For instance, the outside temp this morning is 46F and this room is currently 3F cooler than the other rooms in the house. Any suggestions on how I should insulate the edge of this? All I can think of is insulate the edge of the slab (4 inches) and fill around it the best I can with dirt. Im just afraid that this will have minimal impact . Any tips or tricks in this situation? Thanks!

What heating / cooling zone is the house in ? I'd prefer the insulation be down to frost line .

With the room being a different temperature both summer and winter I believe I would first be looking at the above walls insulation and any air infiltration .

Im going to try to air seal my attic, but the attic space is very tight as its a low pitch roof. Some places I just cant fit. Ill seal what I can though. My attic only has r19 for the entire house, but I plan to blow in more insulation after air sealing. Im considering adding foam board to the walls of the entire house. Id like to start all of this with this coldest room to see how big of an impact it has.
