Garage door won’t close unless button is held entire time

I have a GeniePro 98 garage door opener. It opens fine with either the wall switch or remote controls. When any of those are used to close it however, the door only goes about an inch then reopens. I can close the door all the way by holding the wall switch.
Any thoughts on what to check?

The sensor that detects if there's something in the way. It will totally do this if you have something blocking it or it's not set properly, it's trying to reopen to keep from crushing something.
