Hi
Bit of an unusual query, and not much to do with home improvement type diy
I've a pair of boots with external steel toes, which I use for concerts and gigs - they're not safety regulation compliant more of a fashion than anything else but they're great for me because they protect my feet in mosh pits. A little while ago now however one of the toes was worked loose and came off - I've messaged several specialist boot repair companies about replacing it, but because the cap itself was lost they've said they can't do anything.

I'm eager to try and fix it, but since its not at all a work boot it doesn't need to be super safe - just a bit of extra protection would be nice, and I was wondering if I could diy it somehow. I was wondering about maybe using a piece of stiff rubber as a replacement. Does anyone have any advice that might be helpful?
