Hi all,
I am looking to mount a TV to a wall that is plasterboard, but has mdf panelling on in a pattern (picture attached).
I’m trying to work out how best to secure the mount to the wall. The TV is 65inch and the mount is wider than the squares on the panelling (so I can’t just fix it direct to the plasterboard, like I have done previously)
Do you think I’d be ok to drill holes for the mount through the mdf panel and plasterboard ? If so what fixings would you recommend? The panelling has been glued on to the plasterboard so seems quite sturdy.
If not, I am guessing I’ll have to try and cut out some of the panelling, but have a feeling that’ll damage the plasterboard when taking it off.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
cheers MB2509
