I purchased a new led fixture to replace an old light fixture. I figured I would install new led switches to go with it. I installed them at the top of the stairs some years ago. I am trying to install them at the bottom of the stairs now. When I did, nothing but problems. I reinstalled the old switches and it fixed most of the problems, but the new fixture doesn't work with the old switch.
The new light at the top of the stairs came on with the old switches, but it buzzes and flickers like a Frankenstein experiment. It's not usable with these switches. Old switches are not for leds, hence the attempt to install the new led switches with the new led light.
Make any sense?
Any suggestions for reinstalling the new switches?
Is there any reason I can't have the same switches at the top and bottom of the stairs?
Thanks.
