I'm in a quandary about problems I'm having with a Sommer Direct Drive garage door opener. Over the last few weeks, it's been completely shutting down, but only when raising the door. It doesn't happen every time, but at this point the door is so unreliable that the unit is useless.
I thought that it was the outlet, but I ran an extension to a different outlet on a different circut and it ran a few times, then quit.
When it quits, it's like it's been unplugged. There are no lights or LED's. If it's unplugged and replugged in immediately, it won't work. But if you wait a bit it'll come back on. It has yet to quit if being lowered.
I'm not sure where to look for the fault. Anyone have a suggestion?
