Options to change a wetroom

Help !

I am currently renovating a 1930s, 3 bedroom property which has a very good quality wetroom for a bathroom. The problem is the colour (light blue)
I would like to keep the wetroom but give it an update.
Can anyone recommend a solution-can the walls be paint/spray-painted?
