Hi there
I am looking for guidance on how to install loft flooring between two steel beams.
the distance between inside of beams is 175cm.
The space is only large enough to store some luggage and boxes. There is no room to stand.
Photo below.
I’ve a feeling I need to screw chipboard into some battens on the inside of the beams. Any guidance is greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Michael.

Cut 2x4's a length that reach from beam to beam web spaced 12" apart and cover with plywood . Work from attic opening back so you have a floor to support yourself as you add each section .

Watch this video of a Brit adding steel beams and 2x4s (roughly) to a chateau he is restoring in France. Interesting bit is about 3 minutes in and onwards.https://youtu.be/_3LXg8dZS_o?si=4i1rrACNHsXMKY4g
