Hi guys, I am a novice when it comes to DIY and just need some advice on the raw plug I am trying to use in drilling to put up a house sign.

The raw plug is the one that came with the sign (White) one 5mm and the other is some I have already (yellow) 5mm.

The white one seems to have 2 bits that sticks out at the sides which makes it very difficult to push into the 5mm drill holes that they said. The yellow one doesn't have these, which would be the best to use?

Cheers Brett

The white one looks like nylon - the yellow one softer plastic. I'd use the yellow ones as from my experience, the nylon ones, being hard, make it difficult to tighten the screws. (I've just put up some roller blinds which came with white nylon plugs - I chucked them away and used yellow ones).

Hope that might help.

Good luck with it Brett.
