We are currently having an extension built and have had the chimney breast removed on the ground floor. We came back from a few days away to find the builders had used gallow brackets. These are huge and measure 60cm x 60cm, so are really obtrusive in the room. The wall its on is a party wall.
Does anyone have any suggestions on anything else we could use or even ways to hide these ugly brackets?
We had no idea it would look like that, and now wish we hadnt paid the builder £1750 to remove the chimney. Thanks.
