Hello all,

Hoping you can help.
I have a microbore CH system. New powerful pump, gate valve and boiler.
Some Rads heat up fine, some are cold and never heat up.
Flushed the system and each Rad individually.
Concentrating on 1 rad at the moment. If I open the inlet valve a good flow comes into the rad. If I open the return valve, however, a flow with much more pressure comes into the rad (isn't this supposed to go out ?). This results in a cold Rad as the inlet is getting pushed out by the return pressure (I presume).
Any ideas ?
Thanks,
Mark

How can you tell how much flow comes in to the radiator through each end :)
Unless you mean with the radiator disconnected then you would get pressure from both rad valves if you did not the pipe would be blocked.
If you tried this with the system running the pump could me making this difference in pressure.
With the boiler and pump off and any motorised valves open try it again if there is a vast difference I would be looking at the poorest supply pipework or radiator valve.
