My electric stove has a digital clock for a display and several of the lighting elements are no longer working. This is not a huge problem for me, but I was thinking of replacing the LED unit if it a separate item. I don't want to be replacing the entire circuit board just the display.

My thought is that it may be connected to the circuit board through a ribbon cable connector making replacement simple. Has anyone opened up the top of a stove and have a general idea of how difficult replacing a display might be. Unfortunately all I get are schematics then I look up the information and they aren't telling me about parts.

Hi lostvalleyguy
I think the only thing you can do is to contact the manufacturers, and see what parts are available. The only ones I've had dealings with have had direct connection to the circuit, and cannot be taken apart.
