I'm having a grandfather clock problem. I moved the clock about 1200 miles to it new location. The clock is standing a flat board on carpet against an inside wall. I re-leveled the clock in both directions. The problem I'm having is the "tic-toc" is out of sync. The clock is suppose to "tic" when the pendulum is at the apex of its swing in one direction and the "toc" is when the pendulum is at the apex of its swing in the other direction.
My problem is when the pendulum is at the apex of its swing in the left direction, the "tic" is heard. When the pendulum is swinging in the other direction, the "toc" is heard just after the pendulum is at the bottom of its swing and then continues to its apex in the right direction. The clock will run for a few minutes and then stop.
Appreciate any help, guidance to fix my problem. Thanks.
