There is an intermittent problem with our Teka ceramic hob.

Sometimes when I lower the heat setting of a ring, it simply switches that ring off rather than lower the heat. It is then impossible to reactivate that ring for some time.

Also occasionally a ring which is in use, will switch itself off automatically even if the setting is not being changed.

On a bad day I am left with only one working ring. On a good day everything works well.

I think the only thing you can do is to call in a Teka approved engineer. There's no way you can work on one of these yourself.
