Hi all

Just looking for some advice. I have built a summer house which is cladded with Hardie Plank followed by a breathable membrane. The frame is built with 4x2 and I'm using Rockwall at 75mm for the insulation.

I fixed the cladding directly against the membrane and frame so I want to create a 25mm vent gap between the cladding and insulation. My concern is that I don't have any airflow between the insulation and the cladding.

Will this cause condensation that I need to worry about or can I leave it. If it does I was thinking of drilling a series of small holes at the bottom and top of the frame to provide some sort of ventilation. Would this work? Would it compromise the strength of my wall frame?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Regards
