Roof Vent Holes?

So in the attic there are two holes in the roof and i’m guessing they’re vents but they have no covers and the light just comes in? I can imagine this not being ideal when it’s winter with heat escaping so does anyone know what they are or how to find lids or something like that to shut them before it starts getting colder?
Thank you!

I know this is not the answer to your question, but do NOT just go ahead and block/cap them off. The attic space NEEDS air circulation, otherwise, condensation (viewed as frost in sub zero temps) builds up, thaws, returns to H²O, drips and soaks the roofer timers & ceiling.

With regards the covers, personally, I would take a picture of the UPPER side (rooftop side), take measurements (L W H), and go to a hardware store, ask them. Failing that, go to a larger roof distributor, ask them.
