Reset button on oil burner

Oil Burner has to be started using reset button on burner head .
Company has changed , pump , motor , motor capacitor , nozzle , filter , tune up , fan blade .
Still have to hit reset button every few hours to get heat .
HELP PLEASE ! Mike F.

Sounds like company you called is a parts changer. There are ways to test things before changing parts. Did he test transformer, the old style ones are 10,000 volts, if its lower it may not always light. Also could be dirry or bad cad cell, if you have ohm meter you can check reading when its running. I will send you info. Also could be a bad cad cell relay, the part with rhe reset button. When you reset it does it run rough at first? If it does it means its not lighting, has excess oil in chamber, could be transformer. If it runs fine after reset means it could be cad cell or relay.
