Hi anyone help me please, I've just plumbed in my washing machine, I've connected the rubber outflow pipe to PVC pipe under sink with a jubilee clip & a plastic L shaped funnel that came with my new kitchen. Well I have a slight drip/leak on the bit where I've Joined them together. I've tried tightening the clip to no avail. Can I use that sticky stuff to form a water tight seal around the join? If so what's that sticky stuff called please.

Many thanx would welcome any advice.

Hi
I assume the problem is between the machine hose and the plastic component of the sink waste trap.
If the hose is indeed rubber, most jointing compounds will damage it, and the use of a hose clip should be all that's needed.
If the hose is a corrugated plastic type, you would have a problem due to the lack of a smooth internal bore. A sealer such as Fernox LS1 may do the trick.

It may be an idea to post a photo of the joint if you need any further help.
