Outlet Help!??

Hey everyone,

I have a problem regarding turning on the lights
Finally found where the bedroom switch goes to, a outlet that was covered up

but this is what I found behind it
Very confused, please help

It looks like some old wiring from before the property was re-wired. You need to get a meter on it to test it to see which wires are dead. If you're unsure of what you are doing, call an electrician.
