I have a Nutone intercom system installed in 1997. Except for the doorbell and radio, it stopped working many years ago. It has the main control panel in the main floor and the 2-way speaker boxes in 6 locations (bedrooms and outdoors). I disconnected and removed the boxes and patched the drywall. I am now down to the control panel which I also want to remove. I know there is a step-down transformer behind the control panel which I want to leave in place as it powers the doorbell (now a Ring video doorbell). I'm just wondering what to do as far as accessibility to the transformer in case it needs to be serviced. Should I worry about that?
