Hi
Our house was built two years ago and has two ground floor bay windows. The roofs of the bays come down to an enclosed cavity area that is essentially a box surrounding and overhanging the window itself. The boxing runs 20cms out from the window so is quite a sizeable area. There are air-holes in the underside of this cavity with mesh to stop rodents etc.
Because we are close to the pavement anyone talking can be heard inside. Is there some baffler/silencer I can use to defuse or stop the noise outside. I assume the cavity is for ventilation? All windows in the house are double glazed.
