We have water trickling out of a wall, it seems a pipe inside is damaged, so it may require opening that wall and fixing the pipe.

As it's a rented house, we would like to assure our landlord that we haven't nailed anything there or otherwise damaged the wall.

I wonder if there's any forensic plumbing available to provide an official report for this? Or would any certified plumber be able to do this?

Any advice much welcome.

Can I suggest that you carefully look at where the water is emanating from, I assume that the water is running outside? if so how much water is escaping?

Are there any sources of water or pipework hear the area, say 3 / 5.m where the water is escaping? that is bathrooms / Kitchens / radiators / pipes / drains / overflows what ever?

Do you live in a block of flats, or is the property detached?

Sorry for all the questions, but it is a starting point.
