I am replacing my double oven, and I have a second hand Neff 1451 double oven to instal but no user manual.

The unit I am removing is earthed out but the Neff model only has 2 (black & red) wires.

Is it then safe to asume that the model does not require an earth or should I attach an earth strap to be on the safe side?

Thanks in advance for this basic information request, I have searched around but I havn't found a suitable answer.

Yes you do need an earth. It should be easy to open the cover where the cable enters the oven to see that there is indeed an earth connection that needs to be made. You will need 3 core heat resistant flex.
