Dear fellow builders,

I am enquiring about a tumble dryer pipe (the big one that lets out the steam and usually goes through a big hole cut through the wall to outside)
It does have a cowled wall outlet.
The hole which the vent pipe slots into and out the house has a gap and is letting in cold air.
I have been told to use soudal foam filler.
Firstly will this affect the pipe as it is blowing out hot air. I've seen soudal is heat resistant...
But more importantly, will it crush the vent pipe as the hose is thin, almost like paper...
I think it will crush the pipe as it expands.
In which case what on earth do people do in this case Lots of draft which makes the
utility room a ice box.

Any advice most appreciated!

I also have this problem just now :( thinking of fitting a grommet to the wall where the pipe passes through and also putting down a rug as we have porcelain tiles and they are freezing!
