I'm attempting to install a 81" long x 11" deep x 7" high wooden beam on top of a brick fireplace.
How would the Brain Trust tackle fixing it in place using Shield Anchors?
The beam weight around 120lbs, but it is sat on top of brick, so the anchors would just hold in place.
Questions:
1) How many anchors?
2) How far into the brickwork?
3) How far counter bored into the beam?
4) Total length of anchor?
I'm planning to "plug" the holes on completion.
