Flooring for bedroom carpet/floorboard alternatives..?

I have carpet down at the moment, but would like to replace it with something contemporary, hard-wearing & easy to clean (my dog is old & prone to the odd episode of incontinence) that's also not too cold or hard underfoot.. and most importantly relatively cheap as money is extremely tight at the moment.. is there anything out there that fits the bill?
