I have a old floor furnace and the knob has all off/pilot/burner also the thermostat was gone when i moved in so anyways my issue is when i light the pilot and turn to burner the burner comes on and wont turn off i have a new thermostat but it wont turn off it has a red and white wire coming out of the wall going to the furnace the old owner said it worked fine so i dont think the issue is in the wires does anyone have any ideas? Also during some repairs to the gas line air was pushed into the line and the furnace was hooked up could it have damages it?
