My window sill has scratches from cat laws. Its pine, with stain and poly, but I am going to paint it with white latex, with a good primer.
They are too deep to sand out, without deforming the profile, but not deep enough for the grainy wood filler that I have used in the past.
I just dont see that working well for this problem.
Maybe there is a putty that works like auto glazing putty? Or maybe just use a glazing putty?
I have used lacquer as a sealer on wood working projects. It dries fast, and sands easy.
Could that be an option for scratched window sills?
