I'm stripped my front door back to the wood and and have a tin of Valspar paint I want to paint it with. Because the Valspar is water-based apparently I need to use a water-based undercoat/wood primer. I have a tin of "Dulux Primer and Undercoat for Wood - interior and exterior" which I'm assuming would be suitable. Can anyone confirm this is the right undercoat to use? And if not, can you recommened one. I really don't want to have to strip another coat of paint off it! Thanks.

Does the tin say anything about what to use to thin the paint, clean up splashes, or clean brushes?

Ah yes, it does! It says the brushes can be cleaned with water. I missed that somehow. So it must be water-based, thanks.
