Adjusting TV Aspect Ratio

Does someone know of good on line -- Link -- instructions that I can use to adjust the aspect ratio on a TV? I had a fellow come to the house and adjust it one time but some powers above my capability that controlls those things made certain it only retained that adjustment for a couple of months so once again we only get a portion of a full picture.
