Hi all,

I am in the market of buying an old building, which i intend to renovate. The structure is in decent shape and it is all quite interessting. However, i opened the kitchen cupboard, and was quite surprised to find a substance, which i have not seen before. Can any of you help identify what this might be?

For info:
The cuboard is sitting in a corner of the house in a very small kitchen. It is almost directly next to the front door. On the backside of the wall, there are leaves and branches growing on it. I was not able to identify if it went through the wall.

That looks like a fungal growth, could be dry rot, would strongly advise you get a specialist in to look at it, it could be very invasive to the rest of the building and is often toxic.

Thanks Blair!

Do you know anyone who specializes in those fields, company wise?

Regards,

Blair.
