What are these cables for?

I have these cables all around the living room of a house I have just purchased. Im not too sure what they are for and did want to get rid of them, they are in the corner of the rooms so I am assuming they may have been for a surround sound system but just in anted to confirm if this is the case first.

 

[AC Power]

These would be low voltage wires for some class II load, such as audio equipment, signal wiring, etc.....

I would buy a small multi-meter (voltage tester), check for AC or DC voltage on those two conductors....if zero, take them out.

 

[Doghouse Riley]

Looks like "bell wire." Sometimes used for speakers.

As said check 'em out.
