Hi!
I'm a determined beginner. I have 30 yo polybutylene plumbing and successfully repaired a leak in basement using shark bite poly/pex fittings.
Another developed between the water line entry to the house before the indoor shutoff valve. I repaired this using shark bite. It blew off when I turned the water on at the street. I fixed it, confirmed with shark bite that the push to fit could be used in this way. Now when I turn the water at the street, the fitting holds. But when I turn on the indoor cut off valve, no water flows. Think this is that the valve coincidentally failed? I can't imagine that anything fell into the pipe repair. I could call a plumber but I really want to figure this out myself.
Thanks!
