washing machine heating element

I have been trying to remove the heating element from my hotpoint WDL520 without much luck. It will not come out.I was wondering if there is a screw holding it from inside,Most other machines i have seen on youtube the element just pulls out and pushes in.
can anyone help me with this problem.thanks.

Most elements are secured using the central nut, this expands the rubber seal.
To remove, loosen the nut, and gently tap to release the tension. the element should then pull out. It's the nut between the terminals, and may also be the earth terminal.
