Hi,
I have a faulty wall kettle unit which has a cold water inlet, vent outlet & 230v electrical connection.
The brass fitting on the inlet is slightly discoloured, but nothing out of the ordinary.
The brass fitting on the vent outlet has a green residue (inside the fitting).
I am in the process of trying to prove we installed the unit correctly and am seeking confirmation of the following.
" The green residue inside the brass fitting is only as a result of hot water passing through the fitting as cold water would not cause this residue to build up ".
The manufacturer is attempting to suggest we have connected the cold feed to the vent outlet causing the failure (which is nonsense as it was installed correctly and operational for over seven months).
Any assistance you can offer would be appreciated.
Thanks
