Hey guys!
I have a 24x24ft unfinished garage that I’d like to insulate and Drywall/paint. Home is located south of Boston, Massachusetts.
There is no living space above the garage and the “attic” portion of the garage is vented via the soffits.
I plan to use R-13 Faced insulation all around before drywalling the space. The ceiling will be insulated as well with the small “attic” space above having no other insulation other than what will be put in the rafters. And I’ll have a small heater in the garage space to keep it decent during the winter.
My question is... do I need a vapor barrier on the inside of the wall prior to drywalling?
Does the Faced insulation provide all the vapor barrier I need?
This is my first time attempting anything like this so any advice you can offer would be appreciated. Thanks!
