Hey everyone,

firstly I have zero knowledge in general DIY so please put your answers in very simple terms for me!!!

I have two problems involving my toilet cistern. the flush mechanism doesn't seem to shut off after flushing so there is a constant trickle in the toilet and the flexi-hose connection from the supply pipe the the cistern itself leaks from the plastic screw thread and the metal flexi-hose attachment.

I'm guessing I need a new internal system as its all old and some way to seal the metal hose and plastic intake ?

Help !!!

Hi, try opening the lid of the watertank, and check if the float ball is connected to the other working parts properly. You have to locate the problem first before you try to repair or replace anything. :)

Have a look at the fluidmaster flapper setups. these can often be retrofitted and are quite cheap and easy to wok on
