sticky tape on window

Morning people,

just wanting some advice, as you can see the previous people who has this house have stuck some brown sticky tape all around
the window frame and it comes off in tiny bits if i try scrape it off, very annoying.

was wondering if anyone has any tips that will get this off easy and quick please

Have you tried using some WD-40 or even a hair dryer? Heat it up a little and it might come off easier. If all else fails, Goo Gone is the bomb for that kinda stuff.
