shower inlet pipes hot on right

in new house with all pipes hidden in walls - shower has hot on right, plumber let the builder do some work!!!!!, want to replace thermostatic mixer which is upside down at present, any way round this without turning over unit, maybe swap over valve & on/off - am re-doing shower room & want do a proper job

On some showers you can remove the cartridge from the mixer and refit it the other way around to allow for replacement when the pipes are reversed. Check the instructions.

Or try and find the shower supplies in an accessible position (in loft,under floor ect) and swap them around there.
