Can anyone recommend a good salt inhibitor.
I have some damp and mould patches on a wall.
It looks like there was water penetration through a chimney that has since been fixed, but the area still feels moist from time to time.
I think there may be salts in the mortar and plaster that's attracting moisture from the air.
Normally I'd remove the plaster and use Renderguard on the masonry to seal in the salts but I can't find a US equivelent. Most of the ones I've seen, look to be more about stopping the salt getting into masonry or driveways but nothing that looks like it's right for my application.
Any suggestions?
