Maybe I am crazy....just ask my wife. But I digress. Our town, seemingly a bottomless pit of spending, bought a couple of the brine sanders. All the weather guys have to do is suggest freezing temps and bingo.....salt water that turns into a salty dusty haze everywhere. Here is my observation. My brake rotors don't seem to rust up unless the car sits for a while........more than a week, say. But I noticed today, after we got the roads brined yesterday, they are very rusted after a short trip. Am I imagining things or does the salty brine dust create that much more corrosion that quickly?

Salt will eat through steel. Never buy a used car from someone who lives by the sea. Pay attention to underbody cleaning if you drive on salted roads. Don't use WD-40 to protect your brake discs :D
