I have an older Craftsman riding mower that blows the fuse when the key switch is turned to start. I have disconnected the starter solenoid, seat, clutch, and blade safety switches. Replaced the key switch. The key switch is a 5 prong. Could Craftsman switches be wired differently than standard replacement switches ? I have looked for loose / grounded wires. Any suggestions ?
Thanks

For everyone..... I have found out that not all five prong ignition switches are wired the same. Now that I have the original equp. switch it works fine.
